We were so excited to come to South Africa to see the World Cup. We had planned our trip for over one year. We communicated with the Thatch Haven Guesthouse for almost 5 months before we arrived. Well as soon as we arrived at The Guesthouse we knew that we would be having even a more exciting time. We were met by the Manager of the Guesthouse, Jolandra and shown to our room as well as given a complete tour of the property. We were made comfortable within minutes of our arrival.

The Guesthouse was more than we had expected and our room was incredible. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left all our needs were not only fulfilled but anticipated. The owner, Sandra, was so caring and accommodating. In fact by the time we were there for just a few days we were made to feel like family. Now we consider our hosts to be like our family and we can’t wait to return and spend more time.

Our room was spacious and lovely. The open floor plan of the living area was perfect for gathering and enjoying each other’s company. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back and casual. It was perfect for our way of life.

The morning breakfasts were delicious and if you had any special needs or requests they were fulfilled.

The Guesthouse is in a lovely neighborhood and we took our morning walks enjoying the lovely homes and suburbs. We were centrally located so we were near to shops and malls and theatres.

Each day we looked forward to enjoying the World Cup and South Africa and it was only enhanced by staying at such a nice establishment run by exceptional hosts.

We highly recommend using The Thatch Haven Guesthouse for your stay in the Johannesburg area.
